Ariocarpus retusus v. furfuraceus: this sacrament is also called Chaute, Chautle, Living Rock, Cimarron, False Peyote, Star Rock, Seven Stars, and Tsuwiri. This ethnobotanical has 1 inch or larger white to yellow flowers. It is native to Coahuila and Nuevo Leon south on both sides of the Sierra Madre Oriental into San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Rare and endangered, it is listed in Appendix I of CITES. The Huichol use the cactus ceremonially though it is not known to contain any active alkaloids. Suitable for a 4 inch pot.
